Alan Moore is, according to this blog essay, an unapologetic Communist. Not an anarchist, not a socialist, but a full blown Marxist-Leninist.
All in all, the point is quite interesting, and the case is made persuasively.
And if what this guy says about Moore's "The Killing Joke" is true, then I think I'll pass on it. Blech.
The good news is that the guy i think overread some of those books, including "The Killing Joke".
ReplyDeleteFor me, the guy tried to force-fit it in his Marxist reading of the material, which about has the same credibility as Freud's psychoanalysis. To simply say that "The Killing Joke" says this because Alan Moore is a Marxist-Leninist falls more into the ad hominem fallacy.
The foreword and afterword of "The Killing Joke" would go contrary to his claim, as the primary source would have more authenticity than his essay, a secondary source.
